A selling mindset continued all week. While being blamed on various economic reports suggesting a cooling of the U.S. economy, just as many other reports throughout the week indicated a stable economy ahead, so not sure that the sellers were justified.
Once again the selling seemed to be undertaken by amateur retail investors, as our analytics indicate very few trades among institutional investors.
Our long positions were mixed, with some advancing but many declining sharply. Shorts were also mixed, reflecting the tug-of-war between the amateurs and the institutions.
